ARCHITECT@WORK: architecture meets innovation

18 October 2017

The second edition of ARCHITECT@WORK in Rome receives a record number of visitors! This year’s objective was to introduce a selected number of companies manufacturing high-quality products to architects and designers.

On the 11th and 12th of October at the trade fair in Rome architects met approximately 100 companies in a wide variety of product categories, from ceramics to lighting, from window frames to floor coverings. All selected as manufactures of excellent and innovative products in terms of quality of the materials used, functional and technological innovation as well as design. Post the event architects and designers fed back that meeting companies offering such high quality innovations was of high priority to them. Feedback from the exhibitors stated it was imperative for them to meet with the right customer groups i.e. architects and interior designers. Architect at Work serves as an excellent forum for aligning the needs of both parties.

As with all editions of ARCHITECT@WORK, a relaxed atmosphere was created for exchanging information and setting up new partnerships and collaborations. While people rush through traditional fairs, ARCHITECT@WORK, has eliminated confusion and difficulties in orientation, allowing visitors to devote as much time as needed to carrying out research and receiving detailed answers. Hence, the record number of 2.045 professional visitors, with an increase of over 6% compared to the previous edition.

This year’s seminars were held with the protagonists of architectural research. On the theme of Water and Architecture seminars included: Two spa's: Beirut and Trieste – Studio Lazzarini Pickering; Vertical City – Studio Luca Curci Architects; A collective project – Studio Piuarch; Water, architecture and materials - Arch.
